From April 2013 through April 2014, nature artist Barry Van Dusen visitedTower Hill Botanic Garden 23 times, producing more than 40 watercolor paintings of flowers, birds, insects and landscapes.
This is the most tightly focused exhibition Barry has ever assembled. All of the paintings were created in one twelve-month period, and all were either painted on site at the Garden, or produced in the artist’s studio from sketches and studies made there. The exhibition will guide visitors through the four seasons at Tower Hill, and Barry shares his experiences and impressions through diary-style labels that accompany each painting. I hope you’ll come and share in this artist’s exploration of a very magical place!
