Book'The Great Fen, A Piece of Art' (Working Title)
PublisherThe Wildlife Art Gallery / W.T.
DocumentaryVHS/DVD 10 and 35 minutes
PartnersWildlife Trust, see www.greatfen.org.uk
Effects in project area"The fact of the Artists for Nature Foundation having decided to make the Great Fen one of their subjects has been really effective in the development of the Great Fen. The related press coverage, exhibitions and magnificent book have all helped to create new audiences for a project that goes beyond restoring the ecological importance of the area. Our having shown how inspiring the area can be to artists has also led to the offer of funding for a musical composition to celebrate the area. The ANF contribution was certainly an important factor that led to the Heritage Lottery Fund awarding its largest grant for an ecological project in England, because it demonstrated how outward-looking the project is."
Nicholas Hammond
Director, Wildlife Trust for Cambridgeshire
