| Bengal Tiger by Wolfgang Weber |
In November 1997, 15 artists spent two weeks in the Bandhavgarh National Park in Central India.
This is one of the few locations, where the Bengal Tiger lives undisturbed. Apart from wild tigers, the artists encountered a huge variety of wildlife. In vicinity of the park, local people live in rural communities as they did for centuries. They must be incorporated in tiger protection programs.
On the occasion of the “Year of the Tiger”, the ANF Tiger Exhibition will be on tour in different Zoos throughout Germany during 2003. All members of the European Zoo Association (EAZA) are promoting the tiger this year. The Heidelberg Zoo coordinates this campaign in collaboration with the Leipzig Zoo.
